This new feature will be expected to launch at the end of pubg mobile season 18, but it is possible that tencent plan to launch this feature as a surprise gift with the 3rd anniversary update.

Currently, we cannot customize the character in pubg mobile, we can just select from the some available character, but the face customization feature allows us to change everything.
